Happy 2010

Can you believe it is 2010 already?  Where does the time go? When I was younger time was so slow and now that I am older it flies by, don't you agree?

New Year Resolutions for this year. I usually don't make them because I never keep them but having said that.... here I go

1. I need to get back into scrapbooking full time. this past year I didn't do alot and I really miss being creative. I miss being in my "SHED". I have so much money tied up into this hobby and I need to play with paper, glue, and scissors.

2. Need to try and work on my fear of riding the Harley with Steve.

3. The dreaded "I need to lose weight" resolution. Enough said

4. Do more things for me.

5. Less TV time.

I hope that this New Year brings you good health and happiness.

Christmas Banners

Well today I finally finished all  of my Christmas decorations. I eben had time to make a couple of Christmas banners for my fireplace.

 
I found this gingerbread chip board book in the dollar section at Michael's. I didn't know what I was going to do with it but my piano teacher loves gingerbread men so I made it for her. I covered it with cardstock, ric rac, brads and finished with bows. SHHHH don't tell her.

This is mine and I used the making memories line of Christmas paper, my gyspy (Asheley's Alphabet) and used pop up dots.

Black Friday Shopping

Okay so I went to Michaels last night and got a great deal on some cartridges I wanted and didn't have. I came home and linked them all to my Gyspy.

I work across the street from Walmart and I had to go in for some buns and a tomato. I got there around 7 and it wasn't really that bad. I remembered that the cricut wes on sale for $188 and cartridges were $30. So I decided to take a look. So imagine my surprise when I saw a sign that said cartridges $10,00. Yes $10.00. So I ask the clerk to scan one and she said that they were $30.00. I pointed  out the sign so I got 4 cartridges for $40.00. Can you believe it? SCORE

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had dinner with friends and the food was so good!! Sue even made my favorite pie.....

We ate alittle later that I would have liked and I was straved.

We left right after dinner to go to michaels they opened at 5 and had their circuit cartridges on sale for $27.99 and $35.99. There were probbaly around 60 people waiting in line I was second...and I got what i wanted.
 

You know that song...

Grandma got run over by a reindeer? Well there is a new title. Connie got run over by a reindeer!! Yes, in my new car. On Saturday around 4 in the afternoon I was leaving work on a a four lane busy highway, when I felt something hit my car. I pulled over and I was pretty shaken up. I got out and a older gentleman stopped and I ask him what happened, the whole drivers side of my car is destroyed. He said that a deer lunged at my car, hit it and then jumped up and took off. I thought that a passing car had thrown something up off the road and hit me. I still have a headache even thru i didn't hit my head on anything. I can't drive my car and tomorrow I take it in to be fixed. I have to say State  Farm has been terrific M

I want to thank Cecil (the man who stopped) for staying with me the whole time until the police came.

Our friends had us over on Saturday for a pre-birthday dinner and after she brought out this cake. Remember I got the nickname this summer. At work we take everyones picture on their birthday  and post it on the bullentine board this is mine.

This is my story...

It was November 24, 1952 and the snow was falling faster than they could shovel it in Knoxville, Tennessee. My Mother said that the taxi's couldn't even drive down the street to pick her and my Dad up to take them to the hospital so she could have me, they had to walk up the street to meet them. I was born a few hours later safe in Baptist Hospital. I never thought about it but maybe that's why I love snow so much!!

So today is my 57th Birthday!! Where does the time go and why do I have so many aches and pains?

Yeah!! Fall is here!

 
Don't you just love this?  I had been looking for a cart/wagon to go at the end of our driveway forever. This summer Steve's dad and his wife came and we went antiquing and we found this adorable amish goat wagon. PERFECT Steve had to do a little work on it to re-enforce it because it's really old. It took him a while he had so many projects going on this summer but he just finished it in time for fall. I plan to use it for all of the seasons. I was thinking lights for Christmas, we'll see. It turned out great, just like I wanted it to.
